I was planning on coming out after the DJing, but my cat decided at 10pm that it was time to checkout the great outdoors.  Had to wait until it decided to come back in house...

For those who came out thanks a lot!, for those who couldn't, hope to see you next time around...

'Twas a really fun night..the first band www.runawayfromthehumans.com were excellent...very new order-ish but in a good way..not in a Bravery way...

the second band www.ps-nyc.com were quite energetic and put everyone to shame gearwise..

and then us...I got around to learning the 2 new songs by Saturday morning and they came out pretty solid imho ...anywho we had fun and the crowd was having it so a great night all around.. Bags and Bombey Chutney could give an independent assesment of the show...

Fico - Sorry I didn't get to talk to you much.  I didn't want to try to yell over ps's set.  You guys sounded great.  The non-EP songs held up really well.  When's the next local gig?  The Black Cat in May?

I thought ps was pretty good too. I'd catch them again, given the chance.

Thanks Bombay...the next local show as it stands right now is the Black Cat on May 24th..we have a couple of out of town shows getting set, one of them a session on Woxy's live lounge...I'll roll call it  :)

We are quite happy with the new material so it's good to get positive feedback on it...hopefully a more cohesive mix of the old and new will be plastered on a disc once we record a full length...stay tuned...

We got there at the end of the ps set and stayed for all of Cartel. Really enjoyed it (not just blowing sunshine up yer ass, Fico  :) ). We picked up the CD and look forward to the next show (tho too bad it's the same night as Snow Patrol. Hopefully we can scoot from the 930 to the Black Cat and still catch some of your set).

That's the first time I've been upstairs at DC9  - never made it past the downstairs bar before! I was surprised by how good the sound is. Loud without being distorted or overpowering.

I thought it was a great show as well!  I don't have the CD, so can't compare old to new songs (I wanted to pick one up on Saturday, but my posse -booked- it to Ben's as soon as Cartel's set was over -- sorry for rushing out!).

Run Away From The Humans was super electronic.  Pretty cool, a nice way to slide in to the evening.

I liked PS a lot -- nice bill!

And Cartel was great.  It was a damn good night, and Fico looks mighty fine on that stage!   ;)

Right before they played "Free" this morning on WOXY, they announced that you were playing in Arizona tonight.

Argggg yes, they are some punk-pop outfit from Atlanta...we have the name trademarked and our EP, gigs, reviews, etc..came out before theirs..they were dicks about it so we are in the monthly cease and desist letters process... a thorn in our spines for sure.. [/b]
