I guess they must have looked at my record collection before starting their website.
 
    I think power pop and alt-country are really more or less musical cousins...they both are rooted in the same basic three minute verse chorus verse song structure.

I'll buy that, as I got into power pop via jangle pop of the late 80s/early 90s, which veers at times into alt.country.

I think of Lambshop as an amalgam of styles; indie rock alt-country, and chamber pop.
 
 Their drummer Paul Burch's solo work would be considered alt-country.
