 Superfly Productions and A.C. Entertainment have announced the dates for the sixth annual Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival.
 
 The four-day weekend will take place June 14 - 17 at the usual location, a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, 60 miles southeast of Nashville.
 
  A limited quantity of discounted early-bird tickets will be available before the line-up is announced on December 13 at 10 a.m. Eastern Standard Time.
 
  Organizers say they're hard at work adding new and exciting elements to create yet another memorable event.
 
  Since it's inception in 2002, the festival has evolved into a major multifaceted entertainment experience.
 
  "The first five years have been pretty remarkable," A.C. Entertainment's Ashley Capps said. "But we have only scratched the surface of what we believe Bonnaroo can become. We have an innovative team and we're continually searching for fresh and exciting ideas to take the festival to a new level each year."

Still trying to decide between this and Coachella.  The lineups were surprisingly similar last year, with of course a few more hippie/classic rock bands at one and a few more 'indie' bands at the other.  
 
 The heat and humidity were miserable at Bonnaroo though.

Coachella will for sure be three days.  it's also in the most beautiful area.

the "rumor" part referred to line-up, not duration (that's been confirmed for a while now on their website).
 
 did both coachella and bonaroo sell out this past summer?

I don't think Coachella sold out either day this year, even with Madonna there. I couldn't handle 3 days of Coachella, 2 is plenty...I went in 2004 which was superb. 2005 was just OK. This year it didn't interest me very much though.

I really don't know how Coachella could improve on their '04 lineup.  It was amazing.  
 
 If I had to choose between Coachella and Bonaroo, I'd pick Coachella.  Mostly because there were so many people there, and everyone was completely chill.  (except for the people who drank too much in the heat, but even they were just passed out on the lawn)
 
 I've heard that the stages are too close together at Bonaroo, and that you can't really hear anything.  Don't know if that's true though.
 
 PLUS, California has In-N-Out Burger.

The stages at Bonnaroo were no more closer than the stages at Coachella.
 
 Bonnaroo gets props for having an air conditioned comedy stage!

yeah, but coachella has far less people at it.  and having less huge name acts, you can get really close to almost any band (especially if they arent on the main stage or named Beck or Madonna).
 
 coachella is hot, but not humid and if you dress accordingly (no shorts and tank top, wear jeans and a white long sleeve t shirt) you'll be ok.

I enjoyed the weather at Coachella.  It really wasn't unbearable as long as you kept sunscreen on and drank plenty water.  And it was nice and cool at night.
 
 Bonnaroo, with the humidity, was like being in an oven most of the time.  There was NO releif, not even in the shade, unless you stood in line to get into one of the air-conditioned tents.
