I am having a hard time finding much on this, but it is popping up in a few places. Very, very tragic. I love his work.

robert quine is dead?!? probable suicide?

this is incredibly tragic. quine has been one of the most underrated punk guitarists since the '70s; his work with richard hell and lou reed injected much-needed creative melodies and soloing within the punk context.

His work on Lloyd Cole's first solo LP made that one of my favorite records, and I think it's some of Lloyd's best work. And not only that, but he has worked on so many other incredible records, like "Raw Power" by Iggy and the Stooges. Sigh. It always saddens me to no end to hear stuff like this.

His work on Scritti Politi's Cupid and Psyche will go down in musical history.

It seems both tragic and loving when someone can't live with the loss of their partner....but maybe I'm just a hopeless romantic.

It happened to my grandad, he was fit as a fiddle until my grandma died, then he just gave up living and was dead within a year or so. The doctor said that if he could write on the death cert, "cause of death, Broken Heart" he would, because that was the only reason....Seems this chap died of the same condition.

Similiar to my grandparents. My grandfather was a complete prick, but my wonderfully merciful grandmother stayed with him until his death. Her one wish in life was to outlive hime, because she knew nobody would want to take care of him. After he died, she simply started starving herself to death, and died within a year.

I'm working with a guy now named Michael Maxwell who will be famous someday. The record companies say 'come back when you're famous.' He will get a deal and hopefully I'll be on it.

 Oh yeah, real famous.
