Cannot buy tickets
« on: April 19, 2005, 10:54:00 pm »
Hey, Seth.  your most loyal fans still cannot buy tickets from tickets.com; what's with this?  Our accounts have been cancelled; and we cannot re-register.  If you're missing us; we're missing you:  What should we do?

Huh?  Anyway, the phone sales people are finally fessing up that there are many previously registered users who cannot use their website.  This has been going on for over a month...and it's not related to clearing system files/caches as the morons in tickets.com customer service tried to tell me last month.

my account was deleted, but you don't need to have an account to buy tickets, you just have to re-type your info again ...

for some reason, it's not advancing past "continue" now.  So, in essence, you can't get any purchases completed either as an existing customer or new user...oh well.  The wait on hold was not long...

Yes - I've had this problem too. I ended up calling a friend of mine and asking him to buy the tickets for me. It seems to happen at random, though.

I have to give TM it's props - at least it's service is fairly reliable. Still wished we could use Virtuous in the DC area.

Not sure if this is relevant, but last night while buying tickets to Spoon from Tickets.com, I encountered the same problem of clicking Continue and having nothing happen. Thing is, I was using Safari on my Mac. After not getting through again and again, I switched over to MS Explorer and voila, the order went through.

i had similar issues with mozilla firefox, although my problem was that the javascript "continue" button wouldn't even show up ... i just chalk up tickets.com as another reason why i have to keep the IE button on my taskbar ... sucks ...

I've had the same problem with "continue" not working and being unable to complete an order.

I'm on a plain vanilla computer - Dell PC with Windows XP and using Internet Explorer.

Ditto with me. Pretty much vanilla XP with IE 6.0.2. My wife has experienced problems with both Firefox and IE.
