karma and irony are a beeyach, mister mayor
« on: August 08, 2008, 11:13:00 am »
you received pot on your doorstep that wasn't yours, in some fools scheme to make money, because the government refuses to delegalize the drug, which would take the money (and crime) aspect away from the entire equation.  the cops move in, do what they want, fuck up your life, shoot your dogs, treat you like less than a human with humiliation and refusal to believe that this is all a big mistake.  then they leave with no apologies once eveything is finally sorted out later.

well guess what asshole?  this happens everyday to countless of other people because, again, the government refuses to delegalize pot and cops will continue to treat US this way in this manner over and over again.  take away the crime aspect of the drug and take away the problem.

what, you think that because you are some mayor in your posh, beautiful white, suburban daydream life that you'll get treated different?  welcome to drug war, asshole.  screw you and your dogs.  nobody cares that you are treated just like the people who elected you.

1. What is the mayor's position on drug decriminalization?

 2. Berwyn Heights is hardly posh.

have you been to berwyn heights? it's not really that "beautiful"... it's a very run of mill older community...

the key piece of information in this story is that the PG County Police don't have primary jurisdiction there and the warrant should have served by Berwyn Heights police department, who wouldn't have gone in with the SWAT team....

How does he get his undershirts so brilliantly white?

And his ears look like vulcans. Connection? Too soon?

the fact that bwahah heights or where ever is not the issue, though it is 72% white, 60% are married with a average family size of three, and the average family income is $70,000.

the issue is that this jerk off government official just got his head dragged from his ass and shown how the world really works, and now he's screaming like a baby.  welcome to the shithouse.  maybe somewhere, somehow, lobbyists are now pushing for pot reform so this does not happen to another "better than you and me" elected robot.

how exactly do you think you'd feel if a SWAT team came crashing through your front door because some drug dealer used your address as a drop point?  drug dealers are now using random addresses to ship their product to, with the intention that it's left on some poor schmoes front porch so that some other person can fetch it later.

what so absolutely stupid about this raid, is that PG county police department clearly did no sort of investigation into why this person was getting a 30  pound box of weed.  surely people who get a shipment like this are going to have priors, etc.  heck even a quick google search would have turned up the fact he was mayor.

so if being a jerk is trying to stand up for your  rights, then we need more jerks in this world...

But why did they kill the dogs?  I have yet to meet a scary lab.

when you stand up to the police, you lose.  when you stand up to the government, you lose.  when you stand up to relaxer, you melt like a little school girl staring at a poster of the jonas brothers.

the line on the dog killing is that SWAT team felt the dogs were attacking them, since drug dealers often train their dogs to attack in such situations.

A point that seems to have been missed...

"Prince George's County police arrested two men involved in a scheme to transport marijuana. Once packages were dropped off by a deliveryman, a suspect would pick them up -with the addressee oblivious to the plot- . Police seized a half-dozen packages that contained about 417 pounds of marijuana, including the 32 pounds delivered to Tomsic, the Associated Press reported."

All indications point to the mayor and his family being completely innocent of any crime.  And an over-zealous SWAT team comes charging in and kills their two dogs.  This is unbelievably messed up.  I live all of 3 minutes from there.

If you read the article I linked to in my first post, the second dog was actually running away from the SWAT team when they shot it.  Sounds like a viscous attack to me!

I agree that it was rather messed up they shot the dogs. Labs are not vicious, hell they probably were coming to lick the SWAT team. Maybe one of them didn't want a dog to hump their leg?

I also agree that the Mayor got a first hand look at how the gov't handles marijuana and how for such a relatively harmless drug the stiff penalties and incarcerations that go on daily over it are retarded.

What I can't wrap my head around is how the man can allow liquor consumption legally yet would put an otherwise upstanding citizen in jail for weed, yet they still refuse to legalize it. I'd even buy it from Pfizer or Merck if I had to. I've never understood the logic and probably never will.
