Places That Are Gone

From dcrtv.com:

We now know why all-news WTOP's Neal Augenstein was seen interviewing former Urban Verbs singer Roddy Frantz down on 7th and E Streets NW DC, near where d.c. space used to be, and talking with Slickee Boys guitarist Kim Kane on Wisconsin Avenue, in Glover Park, at the site of the old Keg. DCRTV hears it's for a series WTOP will roll out next week, called "Places That Are Gone." It's a look at many of this area's legendary music venues that have disappeared, and the shows that happened there. The 12-part series starts 1/1, and will run through 1/5 during PM drive. Venues will include (among others) Psychedelly (near the Bethesda studios of old progressive rocker WHFS), Atlantis Club/old 930, and infamous Hall Of Nations show at Georgetown University (home of the legendary WGTB). A few of the musicians looking back for the series include power-popper Tommy Keene ("Places That Are Gone," "Back To Zero Now"), hardcore punk forefather Ian MacKaye (Minor Threat, Fugazi, Dischord Records), and Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown (Bustin' Loose).....
