Citizen Cope

So I'm thinking of going.  What's the word on the "Beck's After Dark" promotional thing?  Someone said that the Collective Soul promotional gig a few weeks ago was a circus.  Is the music always an afterthought at these things?

Also, there aren't any openers listed.  Is Citizen Cope worth seeing solo?

If you've never seen him before, I think he's worth seeing. If you've seen any of his last 5 DC appearnces be prepared for the same show. He doesn't have any new tunes, places the same songs, and looses folks about 1/2 - 3/4 into his 2:00+ show.

yeah, he's from the area and plays here all the time, so you should be able to see him in another month or two if you want to avoid the beck's thing

I agree all his shows are pretty much the same.  The one reason I say go to this show is its 21+ and the younger crowd of high schoolers wont be there.  It seems like everytime i see him the crowd gets younger and younger.  Last time kids were getting dropped off by their parents, or the parents were with them.

What does the Becks After Dark promotion mean in terms of the show?  Free beer?
