I saw De La at Ram's Head in Baltimore on Monday.  The show was absurdly crowded.  Common and John Legend opened and most people left after JL was over (at 1 am).  De La came out at 1:15 and played for 20 minutes, then brought out Dres from Black Sheep and they all played "This or That".  Overall, the show was pretty decent, but De La's abbreviated set was kind of disappointing.

That pisses me off that I missed Phife and what not from ATCQ.  However, I feel a little bit better that I didn't get a chance to get tix to the Rams Head show, from what the person said above.  That would have pissed me off too.

The De La show back in the fall at 9:30 was great.  The opener for that show wasn't so hot though.  It was some hispanic, not hip-hop related at all act.

What's this free Q-tip show spoken of?  Where?  What time?  I need all of the particulars.

That's weird - I thought Common and De La were opening for John Legend. I'm gonna see this show in Philly on Saturday, and they have JL as the headliner (I'll be leaving after Common and De La)

And why was Common at Dream instead of 930 with these guys?

I thought JL was headlining too.  His name was given top billing.  His set was great, as was Common's.  De La's set was good, but relatively unfulfilling.

I dont know, Im guessing Dream gave him more loot, this is the second time he has done that. Back 2 years ago he did the same when EC came out. Its wack. I saw him de la and a rack of other heads on spitkicker 1 and it was one of my fav. shows. Pissed that I missed out on the ATCQ, I had to save the loot for hiero and 311.

because he'd rather identify with broader "urban" audiences rather than the backpacker niche.
