Deep Thoughts Honey
« on: July 09, 2003, 12:32:00 pm »
OK, me and some friends were discussing last night, how Radiohead has pretty much scrapped playing anything from Pablo Honey and almost the Bends. Its ok, and it kind of wouldnt even fit into thier set now...just dropping in Thinking About You in between Kid A and Sail To The Moon....who knows. But what we thought would be cool was if Radiohead took all of Pablo Honey and self remixed/remade the whole album, current Radiohead style. The songs on Pablo Honey are good, but imagine Stop Whispering with an "Amnesiac" touch to it! I mean, they want to be different, experimental, challenged and i think that would do it... Would that be cool or what.....thoughts?

Why not go the whole hog and get Moby to remix them......

Actually I have a better idea get a time machine and take KidA and Amnesiac back to 1995 and give them to 1995 radiohead to add melodies and hooks too.

OK, you are picking on Moby, but thats not really the point.  I mean , i love the old albums, but this way we could hear the new songs, I mean, after hearing HTTT i think they can do anything.

I SO want to hear a rock verion of You and Whose Army.  actually...maybe they could just throw Kid A in the trash.

I could see them MAYBE rearranging their old songs for live performances but never to record again.  I think the fact that they don't play any of them anymore shows that they are sick of those songs and have moved on to something completely different.  Maybe when they are all 50 years old and going on a geezer tour they will decide to do the "greatest hits" set list.

Is Pablo Honey a good album? Besides Creed, is there any good song? To me that is one of the worst albums of the nineties. It discouraged me from buying the following cds (although it might look like a mistake according to the reviews I have read over the past few years).
