Getting a balcony seat at the 930 Club

other than the "friends and family of the band" seats are there seats available to the public?  How do you get those seats?  My Grandmom doesn't like to stand all night after smoking weed.

yeah, why?  The problem is not just the standing, she's only 4' 6" tall so she has a hard time seeing the stage.  Her ears are real big though so she can hear from the balcony.  She's pretty cool though, even has a tattoo.  It's on the back of her head and says "let go of my ears, I know what I'm doing".

9:30 is not a seated venue. If you or someone you're bringing wants a spot close to the balcony I suggest you come early enough to snag one of those spots.

I think he's referring to the back part of the balcony where the bar is.  There's that strip of seats below the bar, just above the railing of the balcony.

I've always heard of people/vip's renting that out.  I was at a show last year (unfortunately can't remember what one) and some snotty bastard from some company had all the seats up there.

  discussed below too...
