I often wish that LT would blitz the ESPN broadcasters box and give Theismann a career-ending compound fracture of the jaw.

Wow, ggw, we agree on something.  Theismann is an idiot.  Just remember, the correct pronunciation of this guy's name is (Theesman) until he got the Heisman trophy at which time he changed it to rhyme (now Thighsman).  What a tool!

Sort of.  Notre Dame thought it would make for a great Heisman trophy campaign if his name rhymed, so they asked him to change it for his last year.  He actually played a few seasons as "Theesman" and then went by "Theisman."   But you had the gist of it right, and this doesn't change the fact that he's a tool.  I can't stand to listen to him and Paul on Sunday nights.  It's just unbearable to hear them bicker the entire time.  And somebody thinks this is a good idea?

Screw all of you!  Joe Theismann is the living embodiment of all that is good about humanity.   He's Gandhi, Buddha and Sinclair Lewis all rolled into one.  John Riggins, too!

The Sunday night crew is quite simply the worst ever assembled...

Paul Maguire is by far the most obnoxious piece of shit in broadcasting ... he gets almost everything wrong, makes insane comments like they're facts, focuses on the completely wrong parts of plays or even whole games ... compound all that with his condescension and ego, and wow, it almost makes me change the channel ...

Pat Summerall has one foot in the grave ... he  has to continually ask Paul and Joe what they just said, cannot pronounce any black players' names correctly ... there's often dead time when you know pat just fell asleep for a bit ... he's more senile than madden ...

Joe Theisman is just an idiot. not too annoying, but he sounds his IQ just creeped up over 70 ... his interaction with paul maguire, however, is vomit-inducing.

Who the fuck put these three together?? Who decided that Paul Maguire should be on TV or radio????????

Does anyone know anyone at ESPN? I honestly don't care if they change the lineup, but I'd really appreciate a thoughtful explanation of why they thought these three should be the team for a widely-watched sunday night game.

My hunch: Paul Maguire sucks a mean dick.

come on. . paul maguire is still living off the glory days that was his usfl announcing days.  that, and phil simms probably would have killed him if they did another season together.

anyone watch inside the nfl on hbo?  i caught last weekend, and they had some guy from a bar in philly talk about announcers he'd like to see fired during the season, number 1 was dick stockton, 2 was theismann and 3 was dan dierdorf.
