Twist and Shout
« on: July 16, 2004, 05:49:00 pm »
It is orgasmic. www.twistandshout.com Thanks to all who suggested the visit (Denver, indie, music store). I spent over $100 and had to stop before I went any further. Even my co-worker (completely different music tastes) bought quite a few things. Listening stations, concert awareness, clothes, nick nacks, vintage items, indie cds, in-store cds, hard to find items, excellent inventory online, guitars, posters, art, you name it. It was heaven.
 Bought a local artist/band compilation PS1 - love it.
Bought a Beulah in-store exclusive. Almost bought one for Jag.
Obtained lots of free swag to pass out to people that I hope to see out and about soon.
I've already listened to about 5 of my new cds...very excited. Unfortunately, I had no shopping list. I was wracking my brain of all the the artists/cds that have been mentioned here that I wanted to check in inventory. Oh well, at least they have a website for the ones I forgot to check on.
My head and body are still adjusting to the humidity and lower altitude - it's a trip. I've traveled since 9/11 - but this was by far the worst I've encountered.
Denver wasn't the greatest this time of year(entire road system under construction). There were absolutely no shows this week. Although, of course, it's Murphy's Law, concerts of interest were last week, and this weekend into the next few weeks. Argh!
