Kind of wish I had stuck around when they did that show with Arlo at the Velvet Lounge way back when.

Oh man, oh man.  Where was I?  Doesn't matter, if it was 'way back,' I didn't know about either of them yet.

Was Arlo good?  I enjoy them -- I know they're pretty derivative and a bit slight, but what the hell, I'm always happy when listening to the latest album.

I was at the last Rilo Kiley Black Cat show and not all that impressed.  Did I miss something?

Wayback was sometime last year.  If I'm not mistaken, half of Arlo fought on the floor while the other half trudged along.

 Yes, you missed something.

Is Rilo Kiley being played at all on "alternative" radio? Have they released an album recently, since last playing here? These are always prime indicators of "will it sell out?"

Rilo Kiley was fairly full last time at the Black Cat but not sold out, and I believe that was a weekend night.  Their openers last time, The Good Life and Mayday, probably drew more than M Ward and the Statistics will, but they are still promising openers.  They do not have a new album out, although Jenny Lewis may have got some exposure from her work with Postal Service.  They also have not been getting radio play that I know of, other than on XMU.  I don't think it will sell out.
