Sloan had their day but for Canadian music, I'll take The Stills over Sloan at this moment. You can listen to their entire CD at their site (
http://www.thestills.net/
).
Anyone know what advance sales are like for this show? Anyone else going?
As for great Canadian bands, check out The Weakerthans, Sam Roberts, and Hawksley Workman. They ALMOST make up for Bryan Adams (we're SO sorry about that....)

I'm going because Metric was great a couple months back....I haven't listened to all of the Stills album -- will do so right now! Thanks for the link.
FYI, you can also hear all of Sea Ray's album at its
website
.

Question -- what's The Stills' genre?
I'd describe them as post-punk, but not sure what that means anymore.... Just curious what the masters here think.

I'm not one of the masters....but their stuff has been compared to Interpol or Joy Division. They definitely have that britrock feel, which is pretty unusual for Canadian bands.
