i might end up going tonite. i haven't seen him in over five years ... i imagine it's pretty much the same, unless he's got a band with him?

Apparently, he's got a 6-piece band with him.

I've never seen a show on the backstage. Any chance it'll sell out?

oh, i doubt it. monday nite, middle of august, but you never know. i feel like he's skipped d.c. on most of his tours lately. if only 100 or so people showed up for holly golightly at iota last nite, i can't see too many more showing up for this.

This show was just recommended to me very, very highly by a work colleague.  I may stop in and check it out.  I have a slew of tickets to buy at the club anyhow.

Any idea of an approx set time (guesses are fine, just wondering -- I hate Mondays!).

First time I had ever seen Molina. Thought it was a really good show. I actually liked Grand Buffet. Not so much their music, but their between songs banter. Pretty funny and entertaining

yeah, that certainly was a lot different than when i used to see molina play by himself. i enjoyed it, i know the neil young comparisons are probably cliche by now, but almost the whole thing really did remind me of "on the beach"-era neil. maybe even a little warren zevon, too.

that room sure does get toasty when it's crowded.

Great show last night.  Alot of the crowd cleared out after Grand Buffet. Loved the cover of Running with the Devil.  I hope they played it at the Black Cat as well.

I'm also missing those days when I didn't have to go to work after weekday shows.
