Ani Difranco Show

Did anyone go to this show?  How was it?  Did she sing any of her old, awesome songs?  I'm not too big on her new stuff.  I had tix but was sick and couldn't go.

No one went to this show?  It was sold out.  Somebody give me some info on the set list, crowd, etc...please, i am begging!!

Me thinks you should find a board devoted to Ani, where you can likely find a set-list and a variety of reactions from fans. For the most part, the folks on this board who post are really not into her, and are unlikely to have gone. Just an FYI.

A perfect example of why two shows a night are not a good thing, and why I will never go to a show (1st or 2nd) if that's the plan.
 
 I don't care what anyone says....it's impossible for an artist to give the same effort if they're performing twice in the same evening. They're either going to be burned out for the second, or hold back energy in the first because of the second.

 Witnesses said Jewel went on a tirade of insults from poking fun at fat people to others with no teeth. At one point, she asked the audience to yell requests and then told them to "shut the hell up."

Has she looked at her own teeth? I read an article in which she admitted to snapping at a little girl, on Christmas Eve, at Rockefeller Center a few years ago...when the little girl took a picture, she commented, "Don't you have enough pictures already?!" Jewel admitted to this stating she has bad days and enough is enough w/ the press and photos. I get it must be annoying, yet, I am envisioning the little fan to be similar to the little girl from the "The Grinch".

 "I saw her live in Boston and it was the greatest show Iâ??ve ever been to," Dion said. "I donâ??t know if she was having a nervous breakdown or what. She told everyone to stop looking at her teeth and look at her breasts."

This bit was on MSNBC last night about the "look at my breasts not my teeth" -- MSNBC story basically recounted the whole mess as it was outlined in the article....too funny.
