Is there any truth that Richard Ashcroft might do some supporting gigs for Coldplay on their North American tour?

Personally.....Coldplay aren't worthy of supporting Richard Ashcroft.

The only value of a Richard Ashcroft show is if Nick McCabe, Simon Jones, Peter Salisbury and (maybe) Simon Tong are with him and they're doing absolutely none of his terrible solo material.

Amen, brother.  I'll show up for Richard Ashcroft even if he's charging a hundred dollars and is accompanied by a musician playing a comb...

Hate to, but I totally agree.  His solo stuff is absolutely abysmal.  Its like hes forgotten how to write a song.  This is coming from someone that worships The Verve....Very disappointing. I hear he still puts on a great show, but Ive seen nothing that has him touring with Coldplay.  Would be phenomal though...
