Actually saw him at a craft fair last weekend and told my wife that tale.  She had no idea what I was talking about.

I have a few of his posters (Wilco from 2004, Magnolia Electric Company, and his 2 Twin Peaks ones).  I really like them.  Had no idea about the copying.

felt bad the El Jefe Design got epically called out and shamed on gigposters.com for stealing from other artists, but his response was so weak ("but i'm a new dad!") and he's still landing high profile design work (Gaslight Anthem uses him a lot)...so, life goes on.
