Which is probably all of you!
 
 This morning on my HP laptop I was on the internet when out of nowhere the screen goes blank and then the Windows symbol thingie comes on the screen as if I'd turned it off and it says "Hibernating", then the little download graph thing appears along the bottom of the screen.
 
 The computer turns itself off and now it won't turn on again.

Sounds like a bad power source.  First hold the power button down for 10 seconds.  
 
 Take your battery out and try using the laptop with just the plug.
 
 If that works, you likely need a new battery or need to do a battery cycle to clear out the memory of the battery.
 
 If that doesn't work, try using a different power cord or a different power socket.

 Why couldn't it say "power supply problem" and I most likely would've figured it out myself. What the hell does "hibernating" have to do with anything?

I remember in the forum's early days people would frequently axe Dupek:  How do I poast a link?  How do I poast an image?
