Employment Agency
« on: August 03, 2004, 04:06:00 pm »
Anyone know a good Employment Agency for permanent hires around here? I figure the more people looking for a job for me the better, right? Oh, with the field of Marketing in mind. No admin assistant's gigs for me.

I'm looking for a new job too.  I'm using a few agencies that specialize in IT.  It's still pretty tough out there.  I've made it down to the final 2 candidates with 2 different jobs now and didn't get either of them.

For what it's worth, the best leads I've had have been either from craigslist or people contacting me after seeing my resume posted on monster.com.   Nothing really solid has come from the employment agencies that have me on file.

It's pretty frustrating but at least I still have a job in the meantime.  I've got a 2nd interview at a joint on thursday...we'll see what happens.

I don't know of agencies, sock, but I'll tell you that my organization used to use an agency but now uses monster.com.  I find it fascinating.

Or, depending on your level and field, you may want to find a headhunter.

Well I had a 2nd visit to prospective employer last night....it's for a field engineer position.  I met with 2 more people, which now makes 4 interiews I've had over at this place.  Now I've got one more phone interview to go.  This one will basically be just some guy quizzing me trying to see how technically proficient I am.  I don't feel to confident about getting the job though....I've never worked as a consultant, but I suppose they wouldn't be going into round 3 with me if they weren't somewhat interested in hiring me.

 This process is exhausting!
