any recommendations for dinner near DAR? I was leaning towards

I'm going to Cafe Asia on I think maybe 17th and I. Near that is also bottom line if you want bar food. There is also a cosi and maybe a potbelly's as well maybe on penn and 17th-ish.

my traditional pre-and post-DAR destination is the
Off the Record
bar, in the basement of the hay-adams hotel. as you'd expect from such a location, they have very tasty high-end entres and snacks. there is a white-linen four-star restaurant upstairs, expensive but good.

I don't talk to debutantes. I don't eat in restaurants. The patrons sit and stare. The waiters make wise cracks behind my back. I'm on the outside.

How far away is the Birchmere? If close by just get a bite to eat there.
