I was just guessing about the Robitussin but I guess I was closer to the truth than I imagined!
 
 I'll give you that "Uninvited" was well sung.  But for You Oughta Know to be delivered without any of the anger or desperation with which it was recorded was a slight to the audience.  If she's not mad, she should have just left it off of the set list.  Blame it on Van Wilder.  She's happy now.  Which doesn't really lend itself to great art now does it?

This isn't unlike the problem I had with Liz Phair's recent concerts (I only went to the show she shared with...*hack*, *cough*...Jason Mraz)...she sings many of the Exile songs, but with a fucking smile on her face and a jaunty step in her voice...I was so disappointed when "The Divorce Song" sounded like a partridge family jingle....  It shouldn't make a difference, but it does.  I hear you, Lamb.

Don't get me started on her.  I went to the headline show in April.  It was painful.  The songs are still great but I preferred my rock stars angst-ridden.  And that stupid headset microphone was the last straw.
