What is the most you ever spent to attend a concert and why!?

I remember when I paid $85 face value to see Shane and the pouges at the 9:30
That seemed like an absolutely insane amount at the time
Now that’s middle of the road price

I think I spent $200-300 for a front row to see Tom waits in Chicago around 2000
Totally worth it

25 years later that’s the equivalent of like $400-$500 not to mention any travel costs

I did crash on dion's couch on that trip

$200-ish.  The upcoming Pearl Jam show in Baltimore was $200 after fees.  I think face was $160.  The Grateful Dead "Fare Thee Well" shows in Chicago 2015 were $200 each 3 nights in a row.  I had to buy a hotel package to get them though, so I ended up paying a small fortune for them in the end.  Elton John in Vegas was $192 after fees.   

The cost of hotels is enough to keep me from traveling to shows these days.
