i like terry reid and have his first three albums:
bang! bang! you're terry reid (1968)
terry reid (1969)
river (1973)
the first two are very similar and feature reid's fantastic vocals and guitar work. most of the material is dark '60s british blues-rock and would appeal to fans of early zeppelin, yardbirds, jeff beck, and early fleetwood mac (with peter green). the vocals are definitely strongly projected but the timbre of reid's voice is unique.
river is actually my favorite one and bears a similarity to tim buckley, as reid explored what his voice could do, and the songs veered away from blues rock into something more folky/jazzy and expansive. it is psychedelic but very subtle.
it's good to see the first two reissued, since all of his records are hard to find.
