I loved it!  It's funny, too, because this time I knew you'd be DJing so I payed extra special attention.  I thoroughly enjoyed the ELO cover, and flipped about 243324 shits when the Time Warp came on (and was able to sing along to every word--not sure if that's something to be proud of or not).  My friend and I dressed up as Little Nell and Magenta a couple of years ago for Halloween, and I was going to do it again this year because it's just been better than anything else I've ever dressed up as, but when I realized I'd be at 9:30 I figured it might not be such a good idea.  People who hadn't seen Rocky Horror definitely just thought I was a hooker...

How did you convince your parents to let you go?

Point of reference The Move morphed into ELO and did "Do Ya" first

Well, you see, we bought tickets for last night's show before the whole "WE'RE GOING TO BAN YOU FROM ALL DC CLUBS!" movement took place.  About a week before.  So, my parents understood that I'd have to be at this show; but they were saying no to letting me go see Rooney (Which actually completely sucks ass, cause I was asked by management to hand out stuff after the show and I really want to help get them a better fan base around here).  So, I was all like "Yo, pimp momma, we gots the hot ticketz 2 see OKGO and we'se already spendin' the cheese fo' 'dem so you gotta hook me up.  I'll stay out o'da' hood fo' this one, tho', o''dey might pop a cap in mah' ass."

As you can see, my parents are extremely inconsistant.  And as you can also see, I went to the 9:30 club last night and did not get shot.  I know.  I can't believe it either.  I definitely don't think that's ever happened before.

 EVER!
Seriously, alert the press.  Bethesda Girl Goes To 9:30 Club And Comes Back Alive.

Even if they ban you from the 9:30 Club, they still buy you plane tickets to LA every four months, right?

Just realized I forgot to write down an important track, John Hoskinson "I Hope I Die Before You Do".

John has meet his goal of selling 500 copies of his CD, but that shouldn't stop you from supporting a tremendous indie pop artist.

yes, but i really resent the way you phrased that.  i would like to clarify that my grandmother lives in LA, and she's in her mid-90's, and when i'm out there a large part of my time is spent running errands for her.  so it's not one of those i'm-a-little-rich-kid-and-my-parents-pay-for-everything deals.  i go out there so much because of family, first and foremost.  and even when i go to shows out there, i have to pay for my own tickets  ;)

Damn! Econo - do you a report on whether anyone contracted any STDs at Black Cat or Velvet Lounge last night? The trail for the syph (or the clap) grows ever cold...

Of course it's all a good set -- the above is the portion I heard, thuugh round about Twinkle and the blessed Voice of the Beehive, the volume got real low and it was hard to hear the music.

I saw you in your perch, K, and waved but -- surprise surprise -- you didn't see me.  Hope you had a fun few nights at the club!!

As posted elsewhere The Smiths did a cover of "Golden Lights" which Twinkle did orginially in the 60s.
