I think getting a job at tower is a great idea.  a lot of the most successful people i know worked at retail or restaurant jobs when they were younger (even if they didn't need the money).  even if your time seems more valuable than what they pay you, its probably a great experience, especially if you're really into music.  much better than wasting your energy being bored.
