It's from an obscure artist called The Zarjaz and the track in question is "Lunna Lubbe." I think it was recorded in '86 shortly after they did a single for Creation Records. Anyway, it blows my mind that something this good is so obscure and hardly anyone knows about them. All self-respecting indie fans need to check this out, which you can do by going here:

OK, final note & a bit of a shameless plug. As many people on this board know, I co-dj a monthly indie/post-punk night ("We Fought the Big One") in this town that makes it a mission to unearth & celebrate these great lost tracks of yesteryear (as well as some new ones). Next Friday (that's Feb. 3rd I think) we'll be marking our 2-year anniversary over at the Marx Cafe (3203 Mt. Final plug: Michael Goodstein's radio show "Choking on Cufflinks" is probably the single craziest & schizophrenic thing on the airwaves. Definitely check his show out as he plays a lot of great obscure gems!
