I have seen the former, not the later....

the later sounds like the better movie

"So maybe the premise-mutant babies with super-intelligence, super-strength, claws, sharp teeth and a penchant for overreaction-is kind of silly and maybe the babies look like rubber blobs with a few pointy barbs the few times they are shown, but It Lives Again is actually a very good movie"

I saw it last night. It was fun and entertaining, but I'm not awed by all the supposed philosophy in it. I appreciate the Wachowski Bros for trying to inject some thought into it, but everything is so serious. Every line is like "My beliefs are in alignment with the destiny of the prophecy." I kept wanting someone to say, "Hey, who be the motherscratcher what put the pube in my goddamn sandwich?" And how does Morpheus keep those shades on his nose? They didn't even slip off when he was sweating or fighting! I need a pair of those.

Plus, is it me or are all of the residents of Zion totally hot, sexy, in-amazing-shape punk-hippies?
