Hey Smackie!
« on: October 28, 2004, 09:00:00 am »
Did you see the game? I mean the one that matters, none of this baseball shite.

Arseholes are still pissing and moaning about it. Talk about sore losers. Wanger can't let the foul by Ruud on Cole though, but seems to have forgotten all about the sexual assaults Ronaldo had to endure all afternoon, and also never mentions Bergwanks elbows flapping about like Michael Flatleys, or the constant bullying of the referee by Vera, or the soup and pizza incident in the tunnel, he should at least pay to have Fergies suit drycleaned....and were was Henryetta during the game? Invisible like he always is when Arseholes play any team of quality.

Anyway, now hitty-runny is over and done with, we may  be able to talk about a real sport for a while before runny-catchy and bouncy-jumpy get going.

BTW...what's happening with hockey? Lockout or strike, or are they skating?

Ay mate!  Saw it live at the end of trip to DC and missed you for all of it!

I was at the Lucky Bar at 10:30 with a great seat right at the bar.  The place was packed!  Good mix of crowd, but my section was heavily United supporters, mostly because it was my English mates.

You knew Wenger was going to bitch about his first loss no matter who it was, but he's bitching twice as much because it was United.  How can he call Ruud a cheat when his teams list of ejections is the longest in the Premiership since he took the job?  I love it!  Tuesday, Febraury 1:  mark it down.

It was a physcial match and the frogs and spaniards can't handle the physical games.  That's why they don't belong in the premiership.

What was evident to me is that it was a long 8 months without Rio Ferdinand, who was simply brilliant in that match.

After Rooney's goal clinched it, we lined up at the door to usher the Arsehole fans out - one of my favorite things about the lucky bar - only one way out and there's usually a crowd to see you go.

As for Hockey, the Red Sox were playing the Yankees, so most of the US missed it, but the season was supposed to start Oct 12, but to little dismay, it went right by.  Very sad.

Arsenal 2 - Southampton 2
 Portsmouth 2 - M.United 0

It looks like the Premiership is becoming pretty competitive.

I hope any premiership follows noticed that United took the loss with grace and class, unlike some other team of whinging frogs are capable of doing.

Mankie, if you have a chance, watch today's Barcelona - Milan, that should be a good game, Barcelona desperately needs to win this game to ensure making it through the next round and Milan always plays well in Barcelona.

That would be the game to watch, unfortunately, living with the in-laws and they have very basic tv channels so the Arseholes game will be the one aired over regular television....which I will not be watching on principle.

Good luck to Barca, unless they meet United of course!  :D

 Great game and victory!!

By the way, Arsenal is not doing that well, although they will receive Rosenborg in London they still have to play in Eindhoven, that will be tough!

Good luck tomorrow with Manchester United, I hope we don't meet in the round of sixteen.

Thanks for the update.  I wasn't able to watch the games today with all of this election stuff.

My favorite part about Ronaldinho scoring is that I'm reminded that his first name is Gaucho, which makes me laugh aloud everytime.  If my first name was Gaucho, I'd go by my last name only too.

And Gaucho is the un-friendly way south americans call argentineans. Funny name given the love and hate relotionship between Brazil and Argentina.

If you have a chance, watch Adriano practicing boximg with another player in the Inter Valencia game. I just caught an image and it seemed pretty hard, everythig is the election now here in South America (which is good), I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow.

The only game we had in the States was the Barca-Ac Milan game, so I'll have to catch that punch through UEFA.COM - looking forward to it.  My brother-in-law said he was given a red card in the 90th minute for something, but we weren't sure for what.  Looks like we have our answer...

Arseholes still struggle...YIPPPEEEEEE! What a pisser the Greeks missed the penalty to steal victory.

Hope United can find the back of the net for a change.....Fergies quote of the day,

"If I'm to pick my team for the Sparta game from the performances of my players against Portsmouth, I'll be getting a game myself"

Looks like Ruud had no trouble finding the back of the net.  Does that guy ever love to play in the Champions League:

 Ruud van Nistelrooy (14)
 Ruud van Nistelrooy (pen 25)
 Ruud van Nistelrooy (60)
 Ruud van Nistelrooy (90)

Real climbed back after falling down 2-0 to draw.

And Juve with a 90 minute winner against Munich, shades of 1999....
