BLACK REBEL TALK COCK
 http://www.nme.com/news/109596.htm

BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB have broken their silence over ??COCKGATE?? today at the V FESTIVAL (August 22).

As previously reported on NME.COM the band stormed out of the NME Signing Tent in Stafford yesterday (August 21) when they were presented with a giant inflatable penis to sign.

Despite drummer Nick Jago adding his autograph to the member, guitarist Peter Hayes walked off after he had been snapped with the cock.

Today at the Chelmsford site, where they will later play the NME Stage at 6.45pm, Hayes said of the storming out: ??I??m just not into bullshit really. I tend to get in bad moods when that happens. It shouldn??t be taken offensively really but I don??t like dealing with that stuff. It doesn??t set well with me so I??ll just leave.?

He added: ??Hopefully people don??t get too offended but if they??re going to offend me? I shouldn??t put myself in that situation to deal with that. I guess I should laugh at that stuff more but there??s too much of that stuff going on to deal with.?

The band are continuing with their session in the NME Signing Tent today (August 22), though only drummer Nick Jago will be meeting and greeting.

BRMC will later treat fans to a taster of their forthcoming third album.

Hayes revealed: ??We??ll probably play ??A Complicated Situation??. People get it ?? it??s pretty easy to get. It??s simple and it??s got a good point.?

Tonight??s NME Stage headliners are Massive Attack.

When I read this the other day it didn't surprise me in the very least. From what I can tell, they are so not like their big, bad, dark image. Tortured souls, yes. Real bad boys, no.

BRMC Presses On, With Or Without Drummer

Despite rumors to the contrary, rock act Black Rebel Motorcycle Club has not split up and is at work on its third studio album, according to bassist/vocalist Robert Turner. However, drummer Nick Jago's status with BRMC is on shaky ground, stemming from an argument with guitarist Peter Hayes during the band's summer European tour.

"It was rough but that's rock'n'roll bands on the road," Turner wrote subscribers to the band's E-mail list. "It happens. We decided to cancel the last two gigs on the tour because of this."

"But of course at the last minute me and Peter had an attack of consciousness and decided to play the shows," he continued. "The show in Spain ... went really well and we found a Spanish fan named Romero who knew all our songs by heart and played the drums that night. We missed Nick back behind the drums but there's too many beautiful girls in Spain to pass up playing there."

Turner did not specifically confirm Jago has left the band, and did not address whether he'll be behind the drum kit for future recording sessions. "Nick might take some time off and even play drums in other groups here and there, but the doors always open for him to play with BRMC," he said.

BRMC's as-yet-untitled new release will include several tunes debuted live earlier this year, including "Gospel," "Complicated Situation" and "Shuffle Your Feet." It will be the group's first album since splitting with Virgin in April.

"We want to finish the album soon and get it out sometime early next year," Turner said. "As for record label news, we've been meeting with a lot of labels in the U.S. and Europe but I think we'll make a final decision like next month. There's been such a strong reaction to the new songs we've recorded we're kind of surprised actually and we've had to rethink our plans a little bit."

they do look like bad boy rock and rollers but my GF thinks they are "just so cute"

    definitely not bad boys

but when all of thier equipment was fucking up and thier show took a total dive at Coachella, the guys were REALLY calm and very adult about it, saying "ok, we're really sorry guys, we'll play 'Love Burns' and get the hell out of here"

they still played thier whole 45 minute set.
