DBT in Balt. Fu*&in Awesome!

For those of you who didn't go to the DBT show at Fletcher's, big mistake.  Packed, packed, packed, house in a small venue.  Great energy.  These guys rock!
 
 I don't know if the 930 show will be as good.  Might be a big venue for them.  Worth checking out either way.

 How long did they play? What time did they start?
 
 I'm wondering because I went to see Emmylou Harris instead, but she was off stage at 10:30..almost drove to Balmer..decided I needed sleep instead.  
 
 They will be fine at the 9:30, they are pros who can play to any room, whether full or empty.

Started around 9:30 and ended sometime after 12:30, although too many beers to know exactly.
 
 They were into it last night, drinking PBR cans and Jack on stage, having a blast.

Thx Nomad...you just ruined my Halloween.    
 
 I had tix for the show but all my cohorts started bailing - lame work excuses.
 
 So I tossed around all day yesterday deciding whether to make the 4 hour drive or not. I decided no - made all kinds of rationalizations: be responsible, save $$, I've seen them 10 times, etc...
 
 Now I hear this. Fuck. I just knew it was going to be a great show.
 
 Guess I'll try to catch them again in Cleve or State College.

 Mid September: Emmylou Harris and Drive By Truckers on sale roughly the same time for the same night.
 
 Late September: Well placed source tells me to see Emmylou cause DBT will come back to DC in november.
 
 Early October:  I buy my tickets to fly home for thanksgiving; leaving Tuesday, Nov 25.
 
 Late October: DBT is announced at 9:30 for Wednesday, Nov 26.  
 
 Result: I miss them TWICE!!  
 
 I'm glad I went to see Emmylou last night, don't get me wrong..but... :mad:

I've got tix to see the White Stripes here in Pitt the nite before Thanksgiving or I'd be hauling down there to see DBT on Thanks eve.
 
 I saw DBT in Birmingham last Thanksgiving in an even bigger venue than the 9:30 and it was great - I'm sure the 9:30 show will be very good.
 
 To make me feel better I just bought tix to go to the PSU show next Tuesday - hope it's almost as good.
