I borrowed the first series on dvd....pretty damn funny. Not quite The Royle Family, but still a classic nonetheless.

and its being remade for the american market, how many episodes of the u.s version will you see before it gets axed?

The Americans will probably ruin it, like they did with Coupling.  Some things just don't translate well into "American".
 
 I hope that Ricky Gervais & Co. decide to do a 3rd series of it.
