I dont think there is a lot of stuff thats been left out as far as anything played on the radio.
Up to the mid 70s at least, there were still regional differences in radio airplay. I'm 47 so once in a while I remember a good song that got tons of airplay but got forgotten, perhaps it had just been big in my market.  Like recently the tune "Run Run Run" (JoJo Gunne) came back to me in the shower... that got tons of airplay when I was a kid; as much as a lot of the crapola that's include in the Classic Rock canon.

Hey, these rank higher than your #1 because they're decimals:
 .5 real kids-all kindsa girls
.4 beat-don't wait up for me
 .3 shoes-tomorrow night
 .2 dwight twilley-i'm on fire
 .1 nrbq-ridin in my car

Do you mean Earth, Wind and Fire's version, or did this somehow chart again in the 70s?
apparently it did!!!!

and since i was not alive during all of this, i suppose its a stupid entry.

also, dont be surprised if a song is in there twice. i found one and fixed it, but you never know!

there were some bands i did basically think i could put their whole catalog in there.

this was harder for me since i dont remember the 70s (i was 2 when they ended)

I am starting the eighties soon, that should be easier. [/b]
I would have put in just about all of his 70s catalogue save most of "Low"

i would think "Cracked Actor" and "Queen Bitch" would AT LEAST make the cut!!

Maybe, but that's only like 14 years down the drain.  He's still got time to recover.

Memories are bit fuzzy about 70s radio, I didn't really start listening to much FM radio until about 76 at 14. I do recall hearing those early Clash , Elvis Costello, etc singles.  Along with lots of J. Giels, Bob Segar, Ted Nugent, Styx, Cheap Trick, and Kiss.  It was Detroit Rock City...

Was surprised that the first Pat Benatar didn't make the list, but it may have not broken until 1980.

yeah.  "In The Heat Of The Night" didnt come out til September of 1979, so "Heartbreaker" and "In The Heat Of the Night" and "We Live For Love" were all 1980 songs, persay.
