agreed, i'm debating about going up to NYC for something similar (rented out a warehouse, BYOB, good DJs, etc) or sticking around here [/b]
were you able to find anything about the legality of the party?  warehouses are always sketchy places for shows like this - can be totally hit or miss as far as whether it is legit.  they seem split on the buzz board.

Yeah. I debated starting a new thread about the closure of this space in general, but I didnt think enough people had been there/cared.

For Vansmack, Thatguy, and anyone else interested: I just got back from California, and had to say that my first show of 2008 is probably going to be in the top 10, if not the best of the year. Social D @ House of Blues in Anaheim. Jeez, what a killer show. They came out to do 3 songs acoustic: "Cold Feelings", "Ball and Chain" and "Story of My Life". That could have been the encore. The audience was going NUTS. Then they strapped on the electric guitars and did stuff like "King of Fools", "6 More Miles", "99 to Life", "Sick Boys", "Down On The World", and 2 new tunes..."Alone and Forsaken" and "You Can't Take It With You". They also did the usual stuff like "Mommy's Little Monster", "Ring of Fire" and "Prison Bound", but they also did "1945" and "Far Behind". For all you Social D fans that have never seen them in Southern California, it really is a pretty special experience. I'm dying to make it back to another show out there...friggin' incredible.
