Just as the NYT has ones ready for Love, Lohan and Spear

I'm surprised they don't have one ready for Winehouse.

 I think that's funny.

P.S.  I love:  "We only prepare obituaries in detail for the Royal Family, big politicians and public figures suffering from a serious illness," the source told The Independent. "But, for obvious reasons, we made an exception."

This is actually pretty commonplace among news outlets.

How else do you think we get news of a death so quickly (often now within minutes) and in faily decent detail?

Obituaries prepared in advance are the norm; it's just that usually they're only prepared for older and/or more famous people.

When Anna Nicole Smith died there weren't detailed obituaries available right away;  apparently no one had anticipated her demise.
