Wallace Stevens, Ginsberg, Elizabeth Bishop, Dylan Thomas.  I love poetry, I could go on.

I can't tell if you're being serious or not.

I'm a big fan of the English Romantics, like William Blake.  Occasionally I'm pleasantly surprised, but most contemporary free-verse poetry I've come across is lazy, pretentious crap.

Howl - Allen Ginsburg

I have to admit I was skeptical and believed it to be overhyped until I actually read it. I surprised myself and really liked it.
