 Book your spot now for this one-day music conference featuring industry leaders from the independent music community. This is a must-attend event for do-it-yourself artists focusing on distribution, broadcast mediums, getting paid, marketing and management. At the close of the day, join the panelists and guests at an exclusive cocktail party featuring local independent artists.
 
 Panelists include Ariel Hyatt, Ariel Publicity & Cyber PR; Jon Kertzer, Zune; Darryl King, Sound of Market Street Records; Lori Landew, head of business and legal affairs for Rykodisc/Ryko Distribution/Ryko Filmworks; Kristin Thomson, Future of Music Coalition; Billy Zero, XM Satellite Radio; Tim Westergren, chief strategy officer and founder of Pandora Media; Jon Solomon, City Paper; John Simson, SoundExchange; Michael Morpurgo, owner/music director of the Paul Green School of Rock Music (Princeton); and Marcy Rauer Wagman, program director of the music industry program for Drexel University.

 This panel will cover the essentials of independent distribution, and it will define the difference between brick and mortar distribution and digital distribution. Participants will learn the advantages and disadvantages, the opportunity cost, and the processes involved in both methods of distribution.
 
 "Can You Hear Me Now? This Ain't Your Grandfather's Radio"
 Today broadcast means so much more that AM and FM. A panel of industry leaders from the many broadcast mediums will enlighten and inform attendees about how to get their music to the audience.
 
 "The Check Is In The Mail: Getting Paid In Today's Music Business"
 A panel of music industry experts will demystify the secrets of when and how to get paid in the music business. They will explain the more commonly known revenue streams and how they really work, as well as show participants how to maximize their income with some of the less commonly known revenue sources.
 
 "Do It Yourself: Integrated Marketing"
 Leading marketing experts reveal how to develop an integrated marketing campaign by combining various marketing techniques. The panel will examine the use of viral marketing, branding and Internet usage to build exposure for your music.
 
 "Managing To Manage"
 The manager's role has changed along with that of the artist's role. This panel will examine the role of the manager in today's music industry and ask the question: Does the artist really need a manager?
