« on: July 14, 2007, 11:32:00 pm »

 But, Honestly

 ______________________________________________
 from wikipedia:

For the followup to In Your Honor, the band decided to call in The Colour and the Shape producer Gil Norton. In an interview with XFM, Grohl noted that the band was eager to expand on their signature sound: "So the album that we're making sounds like a Foo Fighters album, but it's definitely moving in a few different directions. It's cool man, I love it."[4]. The new album, tentatively titled Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace, is set for release on September 25, 2007.

"We've been in the studio for the past month and a half, and we've got about another month to go. We've been recording with our friend Gil Norton. He worked on our second record (The Colour and the Shape), he's a good guy and he makes amazing albums. So we're making a really big powerful record, which I'm very excited about... I can't wait to jump on stage and do this stuff, it's gonna be great."[1]

"sadly"?  nothing sad at this end, missy.  the GF broiled up a steak worthy of the finest restaurant and we're still rocking the second half of a bottle of italian red (a  vino nobile - absolutely delicious).  i'd much rather spend an occasional quiet saturday night at home than force myself to crawl around bars and chase a scene that isn't happening.

i must be getting old.  or having a girlfriend has made me complacent   :p

coolness, thanks for the heads-up on the single.  aug 6 - perfect, i'll be fresh back from vacation.  did they mention which track it would be?

Someone should slap Dave Grohl silly for calling an album that.  That's an inexcusably awful album title.

Dave can call an album Crap Wrap, and I'd be all over it [yes, that was a play on "shit sandwich".]

Thanks for the news.  While 'upcoming track lists' never interest me, I like the news of the album, Gil and targeted release date.

Marty:     The review you had on 'Shark Sandwich'...which was merely a two word review - just said "shit sandwich." Umm....

Derek:     Where'd they print that, where'd they print that?
 David:     Where did that appear?
Nigel:     That's not real, is it?
 Derek:     You can't print that!

Hey Bags - Are you familiar with the bonus tracks on TC&TS?  Is it worth buying the reissue for these?

I haven't gotten them.  I know, I know.  Shitty fangirl.  But since all those Smith 7 inches, I haven't been all that into collecting all recorded material.

I should check into it...I'll bet you can't get just the extra tracks on iTunes, right?
