i saw them at black cat a few years back.  They(she) was great.  The music isn't the greatest but it was alot of fun watching her rock out.  You can probably find footage of them live on their myspace page or maybe youtube.  I want to go but I have to be up REAL early and Im not crazy about the venue either.

a lot of energy on stage, jumping around all over the place and she is all right as a singer, I would go, definitely...

I'll be there.  Have heard good reports on her live shows.

Got a "maybe" from two of my photographers so if anyone takes some cool pics let me know, thanks!

So how was the show?  :)

I went to the Cat show a couple of years ago and even got to chat with Ms. Lewis and get a photo with her sweaty armpits  :)

I caught some of her at Lollapalooza. Not necessarily a fan of her music, but she was rocking out and really into the show. Shes great to watch live.

Besides - Scissors for Lefty are playing with them - and they are a great band to see. Catchy indie pop music from San Francisco.

kick ass show!  i got there in time to see scissors for lefty, which is exactly as xneverwherex describes as good indie pop.  they are a strong act and a good polished complement to JLATL's more raw music.

the main act worked for the mo-nay.  even if JL were not to have genes on her side, surely performing the way she does in all these shows keeps her stick thin.  the crowd was raucous and enthusiastic in the front during the first third of the show.  minutes before the main act started some chick near me bitch/sucker slapped from behind a colorful lesbian.  a minor tussle broke out but quickly got diffused and the show started... with high energy.  for a while the audience dancing was girltalk energetic.

JL is charismatic and interactive in a way reminiscent of Mike McColgan of the Dropkick Murphys and Street Dogs.  More than once she sang in the audience.

The last three? songs made a nice contrasting finish.

 The sound engineering was good.
