BSP it was bound to happen

 BSP OUT OF THEIR TREES!

BRITISH SEA POWERâ??s intrepid approach to live performances landed them in grave peril in HIGH WYCOMBE.

The band were forced to cancel their show at Buckinghamshire Chiltern's Student Union last night (November 24) after bassist Hamilton fell out of a tree.

It wasnâ??t until the bandâ??s soundcheck was already underway that it emerged that Hamilton had sprained his wrist and would be unable to play.

A spokesperson for the band said: "The BSP man had skillfully scaled a Copper Beech to selectively prune a few branches for the purposes of stage decoration. The accident occurred when, in Harold Lloyd style, the boss man sawed through the branch he was hanging onto. The fall resulted in a badly-sprained wrist, which made playing impossible."

Luckily, support band The Killers were on hand to save the day, winning the crowd over with British Sea Power watching from the wings.

Hamilton will have recovered in time to honour the bandâ??s forthcoming dates supporting The Strokes next month. For the remainder of the bandâ??s headline tour, sound engineer Joe Harling will stand in on bass.

See now, that would never happen to a doodle band, they just aren't wacky enough...or would have their roadies climb the tree for them.

Funny story..cutting the limb you're sitting on!

Flawd, unlike The Strokes, BSP can actually play their instruments and each song sounds different. They are actually a pretty good and fun guitar band. As far as stage performance, think Guilligan's Island except with cute British guys.

I guess that we know now which one is Guilligan.   :D

selective pruning is always dangerous, cut down the whole tree its safer and you get to yell out timber.
