Foo presale
« on: November 15, 2007, 01:32:00 pm »
Can someone send me the LINK to the presale for Foo Fighters tickets in Phillie at the Wachovia Center, Feb 21, 2008?  I have the password, but the link in my email isn't 'hot.'

 -edit-

nevermind, though I'm in too late for GA, and I'm out of pocket for general sale tomorrow.   :(

can always try again. are ticket prices going up tomorrow? i'm sure they'll release more ga tickets. at least i hope so b/c i need another one.

i'd prefer something in the 100's but nothing was available.

i really dislike wachovia ticketing site. instead of going back to the seat selection page, it takes you to the darn homepage and you have to find the foos page again. very frustrating. anywho, here's the link
   http://ev15.evenue.net/cgi-bin/ncommerce3/SEGetEventInfo?ticketCode=GS:WACH:WA2007:FOO:&linkID=global-wachovia

edit: enter the promo code then select go

Thanks.  My problem is I can't try the general sale tomorrow until late afternoon.  Finding a friend to try for me....

hey cali: when you bought your floor tickets, were the section, row and seat numbers blank?  or did they say GA, floor, etc?

yeah, their ticketing system blows, so cumbersome and slow.  trick: when you want to place a new order (say, after you've released crappy tickets or want to put in a second order), use the "back" function of your browser to take you back to the page where you enter the promo code (you must start a new session on this page).  if you accidentally go one too far - to the virtual waiting room page - you can go forward to the promo code entry page.

you're right, i didn't take time to check the e-mail.  duh.  they're GA tickets.

having the sec/row/seat blank had me thoroughly confused too.  i bought them as a gamble, hoping that they were either (1) floors, or (2) a system glitch and i'd be able to complain and demand good tix.  glad it was option 1.  yet another way that their ticketing system sucks - they don't tell you when you've scored floors.  sheesh.

There will be a D.C. show.  Just that its a secret like last time without no meetings.  Its a battle/toss up between Verizon Center most likely and Patriot.  Verizon Center will not even be close to selling in the 400 level section for this show if they pass over Patriot.  Just do 2 shows at Patriot.  Weezer aided Foo to sell out Patriot Center last time.

Jesus, I heard some new Foo Fighters recently, and I realized -- these guys are no different, and no better, than Creed or Nickelback or a million other generic whitebread alterna rock bands playing exactly the same tired sound.  I know Dave Grohl is good people and a hometown boy, but seriously dude, tap into that spirit that used to drive Scream, and if that spirit is gone, hang it up.

You are absolutely right.  I grew up a huge foo fan.  The first record was amazing, the second was great, the third was okay...  After that, forget it.  In Your Honor had a few good tracks, but the new one is a snooze fest.  I'll still go to the show though.  Maybe they will play Exhausted or Wind Up.  One can hope.
