you got to put on the up-tempo music so you kind of want to dance until you realize you are running on a treadmill and dancing could potentially hurt.
 I'd say the classic britpop songs of 2005, you know, the ones you pretend you never really liked all that much until you're by yourself.
 Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, etc.
 also, you have to have some 99.5 material like promiscuous, something really awful.
 lastly--some dancey, electro type things such as the Faint, Ladytron, etc.
 should be perfect.

yeah, i like the punky britpop stuff.  basically anything that makes me dance works well on a treadmill.

Tool, Slayer, Chemlab,Danzig, Black Flag, Ministry, Suicidal Tendencies, Black Sabbath, Rammstein...anything angry-like for lifting...and then mellower stuff that I can zone out to for cardio
