"Whenever you click on a story on the Washington Post's Associated Press website, you get these neat little ads at the bottom. Now these aren't dumb ads, they are smart ads! Meaning they are picked specifically to correlate to the story you just read.

I first figured out how disturbing this could be when I read the story about people pointing laser pointers at jets and blinding the pilots, and down below the ads showed where to buy... laser pointers!

I thought I'd do a little research and find out what else the Washington Post thought I should buy depending on the story I read.

For the story of the little baby boy who was thrown out the car window in Florida: baby products at Target.com, including a car seat!

Headline reading "Minn. Governor Seeks Candy Cigarette Ban:" ads for candy sale and bulkfoods.com.

Headline reading "Older Americans Are Skeptical About Bush:" ads for airline tickets to Canada.

News headline reads "Judge OKs Sex Predator's Move to Old Town:" ads for mortgage brokers."
