I write a small online music magazine, and so I often bring a camera to the shows. I'm very glad that you post the current night's recording rules at the door. Could we take that a step further and include that in the "Today Is..." box or with the listings? I imagine it would save you some phone calls and the frequent questions here for specific shows, and would allow me time to contact the label publicist if I need a photo pass. Thanks!

While this whole frequently asked question of cameras etc seems to be all over the place it is actually easier to deal with the individuals who want to know than to start doing it every day.  Sometimes the particulars of a show are discussed  a month before the show and the policy on recording may change between that time and the time the band shows up to play.  So I tend to ask the question a day or two out for the people that really want to know.  If there are shows that you really need to shoot it would never hurt to have the pass to shoot the show.
