established by myself and Jesse Korman, front man for The Number 12
Looks Like You (Eyeball Records). We are currently booking an August
tour for Motion Commotion (
www.myspace.com/motioncommotion) to promote
the release of their new album this summer on Piermont Records.
Motion's live shows are well rehearsed, unique multimedia experiences
with energy, violins, three part harmony, intricate counterpoint, and
tape collages. In less than sixty days after the band formed, with
the help of their haunting melodies and infectious pop sensibilities,
they had built a fan base of over 10,000 friends and garnered 20,000
plays on MySpace – a testament to their street appeal and DIY
mentality. Their unique blend of classical, Indie-rock and
experimental elements will be heard earlier this summer at renowned
venues such as CBGB's, The Knitting Factory, and The Pussy Cat Lounge.
Supporting Motion on the tour will be Farewell Flight
(
www.myspace.com/farewellflight), a well-established Indie pop rock
band from central PA. Even before the start of this August tour,
Farewell Flight will have completed four national tours in less than 8
months – playing in nearly 20 different east coast and mid west
states. The band has shared the stage with such acts as Emery, The
Plain White T's, Daphne Loves Derby, The Junior Varsity, and The
Honorary Title (to name just a few), and have racked up well over
100,000 online plays. Farewell Flight has also been included on 2
nationally distributed Indie label compilations – one from Mono vs.
Stereo and another on the Atlanta based Shut-Eye Records.
The tour will be coming through DC/Baltimore on August 27th. If you
think a show could work on this date, please contact Marc (booking
agent for Farewell Flight who is co-booking the tour) or myself. If
this specific date is not a possibility but you are interested in a
