How early...?

I'm not sure if anyone has previously asked a similar question, but does anyone have any recommendations on how early to get to the venue in order to be in the front?

And also how early should you get there if you are trying to meet the band before the show, if at all possible?

There is really no comprehensive answer to this question.  Some shows there are people here in the afternoon lining up and others people don't show up until the time the doors open.  As for the band,  that too is a crap shoot.  Sometimes they are here in the day and other times they show up in time to play the show.
