My buddy moved down to Miami a couple months ago, he said he was about 3 blocks away from all of the shenanigans down there. So bummed out I couldn't make it.

Does this fest no longer cater to the lowest common denominator of electronic music fans?

I didn't say that Azaghal, it certainly still does, but what major festival doesn't do the same to sell tickets? This was primarily what kept me from going in previous years. This year seemed like the year to go though with the line-up working for me and the other major US festivals sucking ass this year. From what I sampled/observed, the only performer that seemed to be truly "catering to L.C.D." was Tiesto. Most everyone else really brought their A-game (including Guetta who as I said in my article, I expected to dislike immensely).

I lamented the lack of true music appreciation that I observed in my article. It's primarily a party festival. But that said, if there are acts that you like playing there, the presentation of them is top quality. With over 300 performances, they really cover a great spread of the electronic performers. For the most part the other attendees can go fuck themselves, I don't really give a shit what they do. Just as long as they keep it to themselves and don't harsh my experience. But that's kind of my policy at every concert not just festivals.

Nice recap. I do Detroit every year, would be nice to check out Miami some time.
