No wonder my back has been hurting me.  I thought it was just me getting old.

We consider Christmas a kids holiday, so did away with adult present giving.

My six year old: I don't need any presents. It's a good enough present just to meet my new baby cousin.

(After collecting a gaggle of gifts and then driving 11 hours to meet her new cousin.)

I will be going to Three Floyds THursday or Friday and buying myself a carload of fresh Zombie Dust for a late Xmas present (assuming it's bottled and ready), but that's another thread.

You didn't get anything?  Are you a troll in real life as well?

Socks and underwear.

A toaster and an oil infuser.

Cookbooks (Volt & Ink, Gramercy Tavern, Ottolenghi, Spain).

A coffee table book on the history of Maserati.

The new Neil Young Archives LP (The Cellar Door 1970).

I broke my DJ headphones a couple of weeks ago, mentioned that to my mom and she bought me new ones. They weren't either of the pairs I wanted, but they are still high quality and sound really clean. I was happy. I got about 100 bucks in cash and a sweater from my granparents. My little sister gave me some figurines she got at her book fair. Fairly low key for myself, the headphones are super nice though! Stoked.

i'm getting two brew days: family takes care of the kids while i go all zen on a big pot of malt for a few hours.  i got one yesterday. fresh batch of IPA for our super bowl party is now fermenting in the basement.  up next: a dubbel/oud bruin split batch on sunday.

i believe that i'll also get a fancy underlayer/techno-wool shirt.  not 100% certain since we're doing gift exchanges tomorrow when all the family will finally be gathered.
