My favorite music thing about this year was hellacopters...even though they're an old band getting into them was awesome.

of the stuff that came out this year i really liked the nick cave, north mississippi allstars, franz ferdinand, tricky, and daft punk... there may be other things I'm forgetting..certainly things i'm overlooking..

i expected more from some of my sacred cows: phoenix, bowie (as much as I wanted to love it in only like it), andres calamaro and babasonicos....

i actually read a lot more great books  than anything else...

I listen to it a fair amount. Slow and depressing probably describes a good deal of the music I listen to.

Slow and depressing probably describes me very accurately.

Fixed that for you.

930 Forum Best of 2003 Lists

The Wrens is the only one I listen to with regularity 10 years on.  I have a few of the Idlewild and Joe Strummer tracks on playlists.  The other albums I probably haven't listened to in 3-4 years.

Funny.  I loved that year of music too, and yet I might only listen to the Postal service album with any regularity from my list...although I did put that Supergrass album on a few weeks ago and enjoyed it.
